Su Yin has a gift for what she does. She is one of the most compassionate people I have ever met. I am truly grateful that I was able to have her support when I came home with my second child. Not only was she able to help me care for my newborn, I was able to care for myself and heal quickly due to her incredible support. Su Yin went above and beyond to make sure my entire family’s needs were met during this wonderful yet challenging time. I am forever grateful for the professional help that Su Yin provided. Her personable care made it feel like she was a long-time friend on a journey with me. I don’t know what I would have done without her. I’d recommend her services in a heartbeat!
We are grateful to have had Su Yin as our postpartum doula and highly recommend her for other families! We are first time parents and were impressed with her training and background as a nurse and midwife. Su Yin helped us with overnights when we first brought our newborn home, it saved us to have trusted help so we could get some rest and recover from the hospital stay. She helped us with “firsts” like bathing and we learned practical things like how to soothe the baby and washing/sterilizing pump and formula equipment just by watching her. It was nice to have someone to ask and rely on so it was less overwhelming to do everything for the first time. I also appreciated her company and conversation during those late night feeds, the tips and reassurance were helpful. She also did some light chores for us overnight and was always proactive to help where she could, not just with baby. Her approach is very warm and practical – she would ask questions to see how I was doing (even before baby was born) and offered suggestions if needed, it struck a good balance of helpful and supportive. She was also very flexible with the hours we needed, helping relieve anxiety over not knowing what we needed beforehand. We also love that she stayed in touch with us after our hours to provide support and sometimes the check-in would come just as we were navigating a new challenge. Su Yin was an essential part of our start in parenthood – she is reliable, practical and caring.
It was wonderful to have Su Yin’s support after the birth of our second daughter. She was extremely professional, caring and is truly passionate about what she does. I was completely comfortable having her look after my baby both during the day and at night giving me a much needed break and sleep!
